Delightful. You reminded me how a home has personality. Collections of beautiful things tell a story, and provide sanctuary. In our (my) rush to get rid of “so much stuff,” we can sometimes throw the baby out with the bath water. Place is important. Home, especially.

In Italian there are two words for "table". Tavolo is the physical object. Tavola where the act of people gathering together and sharing food happens. May you get well soon.

Stay well Kate. Love the photos of your tables, chairs and your guests. Talking with your mouth full indeed - the importance of human connection and communication.

Just a wonderful ode to the table, Kate...it strikes me that we spend too little time over these--connecting, cajoling, and laughing, sharing the end of a day with friends...I must make it happen

Be well!

It is the winter time of laying low, so down you go. I hope that everything is resolved quickly and that someone is making you some nourishing soup to speed up your recovery. Bonne Chance!

I hope you’re feeling better soon. ❤️‍🩹

I have wonderful memories from your kitchen table at Camont, before the woodstove was there! How can it be more than 20 years?

It is like a time capsule here, Sometimes I see a photo of someone at the table and I think who is that? when was that? and I search for those clues (like the pre-woodstove part) that helps me remember what season it was and we ate. Do you ahve photographs? I’d love to see them!

I have some pre-stove pics with you, me and Tim if you’d care to see them, Kate.

I’ll look for them. I haven’t books from that trip, such wonderful memories. I haven’t a couple of you and Dupont too!
