I Know! I went down that rabbit hole reading about his long and deep career, and wondered at how he seems now overshadowed by Monet, Cezanne, and the others that looked up to him. There are so many wonderful gardens he painted, too!

I would definitely have used the "vous" form from the get-go. It's interesting that they wanted you to use "tu"...I'm assuming it was reciprocal?

I searched "vintage cabbage paintings" on Etsy and there are some gorgeous (well priced) watercolors and oil paintings there if you don't go the museum heist route.... Love your posts!
